6 Tablespoons room temperature water, a scant 2/3 cup milk room temperature, 1 egg beaten, 4 cups white bread flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup melted and cooled butter, 1 1/2 teaspoon rapid dry yeast, oil for deep frying, Granulated Sugar for rolling donuts.
You can make this recipe by hand or use a bread maker on the dough cycle. Follow your bread maker instructions for the order of placing your ingredients. Combine ingredients as shown. Cut pieces of dough into balls and place on tray covered with plastic wrap sprayed with or cover with a towel. Let rise till they double, then fry them 350,360 adjust the oil temperature as needed. Fry each side to a golden brown. Cook the donuts 4-5 minutes and drain on paper towel.
While still warm roll in granulated sugar. ( Filling) 3 Tablespoon raspberry jam, 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of lemon juice depending how thick you want it. Heat two ingredients together and allow to cool. Use a pastry bag and tip or use mechanical pastry gun poke a hole into donuts and fill. Makes 16 donuts ( NOTE) I should of stated 4 cups of flour in video.
